Letter from President - Spring Season 2020 - COVID-19 UPDATE

Hello Everyone,

We hope you all are staying safe and healthy. This is surely a difficult time for all of us as we want to be out on the field rather than being stuck inside.

In light of announcement that schools will remain closed for the rest of this school year, I wanted to update everyone on the status of the league in regards to our upcoming seasons.

Per the Massachusetts Department of Public Safety, the next 10-14 days will be the most critical time for our state and the publics safety. They feel that we will have a better understanding of when we can start playing once we are passed this phase.  With the most current information presented from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health we feel as though we will be able to give everyone more perspective in releasing a potential start date in the coming weeks.  In addition, we are also in contact with Methuen city officials regarding the opening of the fields and parks.

At this time we have not cancelled our spring season.  We have worked to put plans in place for a variety of scenarios in the next coming weeks.  As soon as we have any new information it will immediately be passed on to you.

When we are allowed to return to play, you can be assured we will operate in the safest capacity as the health and well being of our players, coaches, umpires, families and fans is of paramount importance to us.

We hope and pray your families are safe during these challenging times. And we hope to see you on the baseball fields in the coming months.

William Page
